Four arrested in deadly Laurel County shooting

Deputies say numerous people at the location were convicted felons. Four of them, 44-year-old Douglas Earl Bailey, 38-year-old Crystal Nicole Johnson, 46-year-old James Brian Hart, and 50-year-old Dewain N. Bailey were arrested.


Four people were arrested at the scene: 44-year-old Douglas Earl Bailey is charged with 1st-degree assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 38-year-old Crystal Nicole Johnson is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 46-year-old James Brian Hart is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 50-year-old Dewain N. Bailey is charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.


Deputies say Dewain Bailey admitted to taking meth prior to the shooting.

This one happened in Sept this year.
Demos is facing charges of murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was located at a Seabrook, New Hampshire, home and arrested on a fugitive from justice charge by Massachusetts State Police, with the assistance of the United States Marshal’s Service and Seabrook police.


A preliminary investigation shows Harris was leaving Karma Lounge with a woman around 1 a.m. when a physical altercation occurred involving the couple, Demos and several others.


Police say during the altercation Demos allegedly went to a vehicle parked nearby and grabbed a firearm. He then allegedly pursued Harris, firing the gun multiple times and striking Harris twice, according to officials.
