I wouldn't consider Myung flashy --but I think all those flurries of notes get lostWhen I was your age he was my favorite as well. Guess I grew out of the flashy bass player thing. I prefer to feel something. Jaco is my go to guy.
Generally what he plays fits in with their music. I used to learn a lot of their stuff to improve my playing. Problem is when you get older, you can't play like you used to. Anyway i can't. LOL. I also learned the notes you don't play are just as important as the ones you do. I learned from Neil Peart that music is a living thing and all living things need to breathe.I wouldn't consider Myung flashy --but I think all those flurries of notes get lost
