OMG! You have proof that Obama didn't worship God when he went to church? Or does that come from the same place as all the hate and vitriol comes from? Obama doesn't attend church often while President because it puts an undue burden on the CIA and the members of any church he would attend, but you have no proof that he is not a Christian. He has claimed it and that should be enough for any other Christian to accept. And, he has had a home church, something that most "true" believers avail themselves of.
His comment was right on target....many of the gun owners that claim to be Christian spew more hate and vitriol that it would be hard to prove they were Christian, and many hang on to their religion......"their" religion, not the faith of Christianity, because their religion allows them to say and do things that Christians know better than to say or do.
And, Obama didn't say they were "racist" - again, like in other areas, you make up things that are not said. This is what he said:
And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
People that aren't like them does not equate to racism......here you are against gays, and some are against Muslims, and others still, are against blacks. And, you can read their bitterness in their posts, right here on this Forum.
Their religion is one that they have created themselves, where they think it is fine to "hate" others that don't agree with them, and to call the President names. Yep, that is "their" religion, not the religion of a Christian. And, I've never heard President Obama call anyone a derisive term, but these so called "religious" people sure do love to call him names. I've also never heard Obama being accused of cursing while in office but George W. Bush sure was....and many right wingers praised Bush for being a "Christian". I know that you will make excuses for the way Bush/Cheney talked while in office, but the facts are that Christians are never off-duty.

I know that attending church does not make you a "true" believer, but believers usually attend, and George Bush was praised by the right as a "Christian" and he admits that he doesn't even go to church.
What they haven't done is take up the task of following President George W. Bush to his home church. That's because of one small problem: He doesn't have one.Does Bush Go to Church? - Beliefnet.com
His obvious hatred for Christians, his stances on abortion, and his enthusiastic support for everything that is Gay since he evolved only shows that he isn't a real Christian, and anything he does to appear to be one is hypocritical at best.
And what do you mean his "obvious" hatred for Christians? That's something that the right has manufactured and spews it out as fact. The fact that he is pro-choice does not go against his Christianity. I will not go into the details of my beliefs on abortion because it would take too long, but being pro-choice does not make one a supporter of elective abortion without restrictions. That one would allow a woman to die from a pregnancy is more inhumane than an abortion, but enough on that.
And, denying any person their rights because you believe that what they are doing is a sin, is not Christian, either. Jesus commanded his followers to hate the sin and love the sinner, but many right-wingers who call themselves Christian, have taken the position of hating the sinner, too. Jesus dealt with such hypocrites by calling them white-washed tombs, who thought they were doing everything right and apparently were missing the whole point of his teachings.
Needless to say, that you cannot just spew out accusations without proof and without discussing the tedious details of each issue, but so many on the right make don't bother with the details and just make flat-out accusations that are neither accurate nor true.
