Yea, yea, I already know there will be some that will say "unreasonable search and seizure blah blah" -- but that is for regular people, not criminals masquerading as fire fighters to try to garner some expectation that they are supposed have rights -- just because they wear a uniform. If cops can't lie in order to take down dangerous criminals and drug dealers -- how can they possibly do their job lawfully??

The cop would have done this if the guy was a white firefighter as well.....except he wouldn't have to because white firefighters don't break the law

Black D.C. firefighter to be released from prison after officer lied

A judge will release Elon Wilson from prison after finding out that Officer Jonathan Freitag lied about his 2018 traffic stop.

"A former Washington D.C. firefighter is set to be released from prison after the arresting officer was found to be lying about what really happened during the traffic stop. Steve Descano, Commonwealth Attorney of Fairfax County, asked a judge to release Elon Wilson, a Black man, from prison after finding out that Officer Jonathan Freitag lied about their 2018 encounter. Back in 2018, Wilson was reportedly pulled over by Freitag during a traffic stop. The officer claimed that Wilson crossed the solid yellow line and had windows that were tinted darker than the state’s legal limit.

During an internal review with the Fairfax County Police Department, Freitag admitted that Wilson’s car never went over the line and that he never tested his windows. The former firefighter was sentenced to three years behind bars for possession of guns and drugs. Since uncovering Freitag’s lie, Descano learned that the officer has had a history of racially motivated traffic stops. They are now reviewing over 400 cases that he was a part of. “I can’t say how many of them are racially motivated."

What the fuck?? The guy still had guns and drugs -- he should be in jail....it doesn't matter if the cop lied about why he pulled the person over...Cops should be able to pull someone over for any reason they wish if they feel there is a chance that person is a criminal.

Perjury is illegal, that is not what a police officer gets paid to do and now because of this crap cop over 400 cases need to be reviewed. What a waste of taxpayer dollars. Fire the worthless scum and then throw the book at him.
