Fire Near L.A. -Evac's Homes Burning High Winds

She might not be able to get a hotel room...there are 10's of thousands evacuating.

Evie called about a half an hour ago, she scored a room at a Super 8 Motel outside of Bakersfield. She and Kiera (age 8) have room for the night and a free breakfast. I am so damn relived right now.

Yes, CallFire is sending teams from Northern California South right. Fireman from Marin, Sonoma, Napa, San Francisco and Alameda Counties are responding as well.
Right now, Southern California is in the fight of its life. This fire has a life of its own! If you are inclined to pray, pray for those in path of this firestorm.

Fox news channel is reporting on it now non-stop.

No big picture kind of updates because it's dark...just and info scraps they can get. But it doesn't look good.

Wind is whipping from direction to direction spreading the fire in any given direction.

We wont get a big picture update until 8:00 eastern (7:00 am my time).

Northern Santa Monica has been evacuated, official estimate that 100,000 people will be displaced. Visibility is just about zero. LAX may have to suspend operation to to smoke.
