Seems like the electro shock treatments he's received have zapped some common sense into our ultraliberal senator here. Fetterman looks like a good, possible candidate for 2028.

Why?
after all he did state:

I would never support taking it by force,” Fetterman said.

Well I guess if Greenland is in a strategic part of the world it might not be a bad purchase if they were in the market to sell but last time Trump tried this, they laughed at him.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump Jr. landed in Greenland, the Arctic island his father, President-elect Donald Trump, has expressed a strong desire to purchase, despite sharp statements from Greenland that it is not for sale.

So Trump is trying to buy a piece of property that isn't for sale. I guess everything has a price though right?

So no, I'm not opposed to buying Greenland either. If it's in a strategic part of the world that makes sense for us to control. But Trump is saying he won't guarantee he won't take them by force.

What happened to no new wars?

I have stated many times - it is the Senate and Congress (their lobbyists) aka the ESTABLISHMENT who define and uphold US Global Hegemony - not some individual POTUS - since without it, the USA's economy and it's international political standing ends abruptly.

Therefore it is "crystal clear" that ALL those promises forwarded by Trump regarding - ending wars and ending the global involvement of the USA's military, is plain bullshit - since the Republicans and Democrats who upheld this US Global Hegemony since latest 1899 - would depose of him.

As Bolton stated in an interview yesterday - this entire issue Greenland, Panama, etc. has always been on the agenda of US Global Hegemony.

The factual problem is only the way as to how the incompetent and loudmouth scumbag, publicly gives away the USA's long time standing foreign policy. And is even so dumb as to once again intimidating and threatening NATO allies - Allies the USA needs in order to fulfill it's mission and agenda towards any other country who challenges US Global hegemony - whereby at the time Russia has been essentially replaced by China.

At the same time the scumbag throws in Canada and whatever other absurdities - just to overload the media and in parallel to divert his Trumpfters from his promise to lower living costs in the USA. A promise he knows - he can't fulfill - but a major (maybe the only) factual contributor to his election win.

So they tell Trump secretly that they ultimately would like to obtain Greenland and he says "oh you want Greenland? Watch what I do" then he goes up to the podium and starts spewing nonsense. The art of the deal. Let's see if it works.

That is because our domestic agendas need resources. The only negative is if it is for world government.

No one is talking about taking Greenland by force... so stop spreading that lie libs.... many of the people in Greenland want their independence from Norway and a closer working relationship with the USA... they want to increase trade with us and they want the security we can provide them....
They don't want us to govern them and no one is suggesting we should...

In December, Trump revived calls made in his first presidency for US ownership of Greenland, calling it “an absolute necessity.” Asked at a Tuesday news conference whether he would rule out using “military or economic coercion” to gain Greenland — or Panama, which Trump has also expressed desire to own — the president-elect responded, “No, I can’t assure you on either of those two, but I can say this: We need them for economic security.”

The president-elect says owning Greenland is vital for US security, but experts say he may also be eyeing other aspects of Greenland such as its trove of natural resources — including rare earth metals — which may become more accessible as climate change melts the territory’s ice.

A unique geopolitical position

Greenland is the world’s largest island and home to more than 56,000 people. A former Danish colony and now an autonomous territory of Denmark, it occupies a unique geopolitical position, sitting between the US and Europe. Its capital city Nuuk is closer to New York than it is to Denmark’s capital Copenhagen.

It’s long been seen as key for US security, especially to repel a potential attack from Russia, said Ulrik Pram Gad, a senior researcher at the Danish Institute for International Studies. The Northwest Passage shipping lane runs along its coast and the island is part of the Greenland-Iceland-United Kingdom gap, a strategic maritime region.

You or someone slipped in Greenland... Trump talked about force to reclaim the Canal not Greenland... I watched the whole presser...

Free nations don't go to war with each other that would be stupid... the media is conflating Trump's words again... they did that in his last term and they are doing it here...

I am not for ANNEXATION.

I am for Greenland becoming a US TERRITORY IF THE RESIDENTS WANT TO.

Annexation, by definition, is FORCED.

We can economically encourage…but no forcing.

Think of it like the lefties and the vaccine,

NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO GET THE VACCINE….BUT IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR JOB.

You lefties love that shit.

I think he'll be the choice....

I wish I could find a video of the person asking the question and his answer but I can't.

Trump suggests he could use military force to acquire Panama Canal and Greenland and 'economic force' to annex Canada

President-elect Donald Trump suggested Tuesday he would consider using military force to gain control of the Panama Canal and Greenland, and "economic force" to acquire Canada.

During a free-wheeling news conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump was asked by a reporter if he could assure the public that he would not use military coercion against Panama or Greenland, a goal he has floated in recent weeks. “No, I can’t assure you on either of those two, but I can say this, we need them for economic security,” Trump said. He said later that he would not use military force against Canada, only "economic force."

He has repeatedly quipped in recent weeks that Canada should become the 51st state.

These are not the rantings of a sane man.

No reason to tell him "secretly" it is a very well known strategic issue - latest since Truman.
That Trump is destined to make a plunder out of it - is understood.

Damn son, be at least a little informed. It is not Norway, it is Denmark. If you can't get the basic facts down you might ought to stay out of the debate.

Can anybody tell me, in detail, what is the benefit of making Greenland part of the U.S.?

Please don't say 'National Security' since Greenland has always been a NATO member and we've had military bases there since WWII.

Greenland does not have significant natural resources that I know of, and if they do, we would not need to annex them. Those industries could be exploited thru investment and their products put on the world markets (which is the same thing if we annexed them).

Is this just about increasing our supply of fresh fish?
