I had three phones going off at the same time so yest it was a bit annoying. First thing I did was look out the window to see if a tornado was coming. After I saw it was still nice out, I read the message. I also discovered I had an amber alert from 2022 in one phone since it came up after I deleted that presidential nonsense.

In Romania where I have been the last few weeks they do it on almost any pretext .
Last week an alert heralded a supposedly heavy storm which turned out to barely even qualify for that description .

The intent seems reasonable but in practise it will doubtless be over used and lose its real emergency notification value .
