And good work all around getting these people convicted.
A federal jury in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday found nine defendants guilty of attacking the Prairieland ICE Detention Center last year.
The nine defendants, who are allegedly members of the left-wing group Antifa, were accused of using weapons and explosives at the facility, providing material support to terrorists and attempting to murder an Alvarado police officer and unarmed correctional officers at the Texas facility in July.
The Justice Department identified the nine defendants as Cameron Arnold, Zachary Evetts, Benjamin Song, Savanna Batten, Bradford Morris, Maricela Rueda, Elizabeth Soto, Ines Soto, and Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada.
Seven other people pleaded guilty to one count of providing material support to terrorists last year.
“Antifa is a domestic terrorist organization that has been allowed to flourish in Democrat-led cities — not under President Trump,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement. “Today’s verdict on terrorism charges will not be the last as the Trump administration systematically dismantles Antifa and finally halts their violence on America’s streets.”
The convictions mark a victory for the Trump administration as part of the first federal prosecution of Antifa as a domestic terrorist group.
