Federal judges are considering hiring armed private security forces amid fears that US Marshals will not protect them because they work for Donald Trump.
The judiciary has been dealing with rising number of threats against magistrates who have ruled against the Trump administration's agenda.
Data from the agency show threat investigations against federal judges and prosecutors nearly tripled from 2019 to 2023.
Federal judges are considering hiring armed private security forces amid fears that US Marshals will not protect them because they work for Donald Trump.

It's not about protecting the judges it's about having thugs that will arrest government employees working for the executive branch.
They have plenty of protection already.
Watching many of their orders go completely ignored by executive branch employees has brought them to the point of rage and froth.

They want to be able to arrest and jail people who disobey their orders. Right now they need the cooperation of other agencies to do that. Let's say a judge passes an injunction and it gets ignored by the executive branch. Federal Marshals are not going to go arrest executive branch employees.
It's highly unlikely that local police forces would do that either. What these guys want is a dedicated army of thugs to physically reach out and punish people who do not obey them. It's something they're not going to get.
