"WASHINGTON -- A federal judge is allowing the Trump administration to move forward with a requirement that everyone in the U.S. illegally must register with the federal government, in a move that could have far-reaching repercussions for immigrants across the country.

In a ruling Thursday, Judge Trevor Neil McFadden sided with the administration, which had argued that they were simply enforcing an already existing requirement for everyone in the country who wasn’t an American citizen to register with the government.

The requirement goes into effect Friday.

The Department of Homeland Security announced Feb. 25 that it was mandating that all people in the United States illegally register with the federal government, and said those who didn’t self-report could face fines or prosecution. Failure to register is considered a crime, and people will be required to carry registration documents with them or risk prison time and fines."

Seems there was a law at one time that even visa holders were required to register every January.

They no longer have, a green card. It is a permanent visa. Permanent visa holders are required to re-renew the permanent visas every ten years.

Illegal immigrants should do jail time. Every single day they are here illegally is a crime. Charge them a crime for everyday. Kind of like taking an ac ounting check ledger and making each individual entry a crime

Here's a slight variation on the theme...

• All Illegals must Register
• Everyone gets rubber-stamp Deportation Order at Registration Time
• Everyone without substantial US -based assets ( house, business ) gets 90 days to self-deport
• Everyone having substantial US-based assets ( house, business ) gets 180 days to sell at fair-market value and self-deport
• Everyone self-deporting get a non-forgeable certificate giving them some kind of higher priority when applying to re-enter
• Anyone failing to Register or failing to self-deport after grace period (90 or 180 days) is arrested and deported next day
• Anyone arrested for such failure has their assets seized and forfeited to the Treasury and they are banned from re-entering
