Federal District Court judge Orders Return of El Salvador Citizen from El Salvador

The guy is a El Salvador citizen not an American citizen.
Trump out of kindness gave him a free airplane ride to reunite with his family and fellow gang members.

The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis "properly requires the Government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador," further ruling that "The Government should be prepared to share what it can concerning the steps it has taken and the prospect of further steps."

If the Trump regime persists in defying the Court, it might take a contempt order to prompt Trump and his lickspittles to to do the right thing.

He was in the United States legally, has no criminal record, and was deported illegally in what the Trump regime has admitted was a mistake.

The guy is a citizen of El Salvador.
US government cannot legally force another country to hand over one of its citizens to American authorities.

He was deported illegally in what the Trump regime has called "an administrative error, and was imprisoned without trial in a terrorist confinement center, despite never having been charged with or convicted of a crime in either country.

If you need to embrace the Trump regime's claim of impotence in correcting the injustice, and if you like his defying the Supreme Court, you can, but Trump's pretending to have no influence in correcting its mistake is laughable. Trump is paying El Salvador to imprison him.

If Trump forced the President of El Salvador to hand over one of his citizens to US authorities would be blatant Imperialism.

I thought you lefty liberals were against American Imperialism?

Fake, hyper-partisan nonsense, Obeying a Supreme Court ruling is not a "liberal" notion. It is the law.

Trump toadies are frenetically squirming in attempting to defend the illegal deportation and incarceration.

Supreme Court ruling: "The United States acknowledges that Abrego Garcia was subject to a withholding order forbidding his removal to El Salvador, and that the removal to El Salvador was therefore illegal." The Supreme Court determined that the District Court "properly requires the Government to 'facilitate' Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador".

Why is the Trump regime, in refusing to comply with the Court's order to facilitate Garcia's release, continuing to pay El Salvador to keep an improperly-deported individual incarcerated?

Apparently, the President of El Salvador knows the guy is a criminal gang member and wants to keep him locked up.
You can speculate regarding Bukele's opinion of Garcia, but Garcia has not been convicted of any crimes anywhere.

Why is Trump paying him to imprison an innocent man? (Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law)

That is totally irrelevant and none of our business.
The government of El Salvador thinks he is a criminal and wants him locked to to protect their citizens.

So the Trump administration is admitting that they violated a withholding order from a judge. Knowingly.

Fascinating.
Maybe you didn’t hear the interview. That’s fine

Are you gonna invade El Salvador to get this illegal alien back in ice custody? What’s your plans with him after you invade El Salvador to get this terrorist back?

The president of El SSalvador wants to keep the guy locked up.
So what would you have Pres.Trump do?
Send in the Navy Seals or Delta force to break the guy out of prison?
Have the US Army invade El Salvador?

why won’t El Salvador release him from their prison? He’s innocent.

So you don’t care that El Salvador is depriving people of basic civil liberties?

Because

U.S. judge on Tuesday will consider her next steps on what she called the Trump administration's failure to update her on efforts to return a man illegally deported to El Salvador, in a case critics say shows the administration may choose to defy unfavorable court orders...
Legal experts said Xinis at Tuesday's hearing may ask the administration whether it told El Salvador President Nayib Bukele - who met Trump at the White House on Monday - not to release Abrego Garcia, which could amount to defiance of the court's order to "facilitate" his return.
The hearing before U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis in Greenbelt, Maryland, was due to begin at 4 p.m. EDT
