Wow, groovy porn for economic geeks on CSPAN, as Fareed Zakaria interviews four Fed chairmen:

At one point, Ben Bernanke said something that really caught my attention, and it's something that should calm fears of hyper-inflation that would theoretically be caused by the Fed dumping bonds too quickly.

He said that the Fed isn't going to sell the bonds, it will just let them mature. Obviously that means the unwinding will take a helluva lot longer, but it also avoids the dump scenario.
