WITHIN HOURS OF the storming of the Capitol on January 6, the FBI began securing thousands of phone and electronic records connected to people at the scene of the rioting — including some related to members of Congress, raising potentially thorny legal questions.

Using special emergency powers and other measures, the FBI has collected reams of private cellphone data and communications that go beyond the videos that rioters shared widely on social media, according to two sources with knowledge of the collection effort.

In the hours and days after the Capitol riot, the FBI relied in some cases on emergency orders that do not require court authorization in order to quickly secure actual communications from people who were identified at the crime scene. Investigators have also relied on data “dumps” from cellphone towers in the area to provide a map of who was there, allowing them to trace call records — but not content — from the phones.

The shitfest continues.

Why do they have to seize anything? Why won't Nancy hand them over freely?

"Hello, Pentagon? Hi, this is Nancy. Yeah. They are attacking NOW. Yeah, that's it. I told Antifa and BLM to STAY AWAY. Whatever you do now, DON'T let the National Guard come here!"

It doesn't matter what Nancy is holding it will have to be pried from her cold dead hands because she won't be handing anything over ever.

We need to get to the bottom of that horrible day no matter where it leads or who was involved, actually involved, or in the planning phase behind the scene and out of sight.

The FBI?...they will cover anything negative to the dem house members...

You can bet Ram that Nancy's 9/11 investigation will find all the fault in the world with Trump and his supporters! And with right wing conservative organizations. NONE with her, DC, the Democrats or the role the illegal election played in driving it all nor her desire to make a new excuse to impeach Trump with.

If they don't know what was said, what's the problem? You wanted those who stormed the Capitol caught and held accountable, right?

I assure you they WILL not hide anything factual... no matter where it leads.

Like Hunter's Laptop?

LOL

Sadly Frank, I realize now that even if they got an "Independent Counsel" to study what happened that day, the findings and report we get will still predictably be the same.

ORANGE MAN BAD.

Washington is incapable of honesty about anything.
