Fortunately about 90+% of Muslims do that so far. However they are targets of the Jihadists for being apostates. Since the Koran can not be altered in text, there will be some challenge in revision. Might need a "new Prophet".2 easily wins.
Reform will come to Islam eventually. And the "invalidation" of which you speak will manifest in cafeteria Islamism, like cafeteria Christianity. They will just ignore the vile parts, like Christians do with the Bible.
As for the Bible, the "vile parts" tend to be in the Old Testament, not much of such in the New Testament. Paradigm shift from OT to NT.
