South Carolina: Kala Brown's rescue after being chained in a storage container for two months is being called "divine intervention from god himself." Quite arrogant, let alone sexist, these cases should not be subjected to media oportunism, especially as black churches are being vandalized. The "tip" that was received has obscure origins, as usual. The cop and the theologian are two peas in a super-ego pea-pod, and the Brown report supposes business as usual: church-and-state sponsored pathology and terror.

S. Bily is the world expert on the beetle family, Buprestidae, and was the one consulted for positive identification of Agrilus planipennis introduced at Detroit. While still unidentified, the beetle was being cultivated in the labs of the Michigan DNR, without interference from the EPA, CDC, or U.S. Customs, an excellent way to establish the U.S. Emerald Ash Borer Foundation.
