About half the states in the country are stop and ID. Meaning state police can stop anyone anytime and ask for their name.

Half aren’t. Meaning they can’t require you to do anything. Minnesota is one of them.

Federal law does not require citizens to carry ID or prove their citizenship to law enforcement.

ICE can ask if you’re a citizen but you don’t have to tell them. They can ask to see your ID but you don’t have to tell them. They can ask your name but you don’t have to tell them.

If they have reasonable suspicion to think you’re an illegal alien, they can detain you to prove your citizenship status, but these dipshits don’t care about reasonable suspicion. They’ll just haul in anyone they want.
