Gorgeous George ...

My grandma would randomly refer to guys “Gorgeous George” (as in “go tell Gorgeous George over there it’s time for dinner”). It wasn’t until many years later that I realized it was a reference to an actual person.

Similarly, she always referred to me and my brother as “Mutt and Jeff”. I thought it was just something she made up, but there was an old comic strip by that name.

I was disappointed we never got to see the bench press contest. I wanted to know if Steiner could really bench 585

Sean O'Haire: Wrestling's Biggest "What If?"...Eric Bischoff saw in O'Haire a great singles star and wanted to push him like Goldberg...didn't work out

under the tutelage of Roddy Piper, O'Haire even beat a masked Hulk Hogan once

I used to watch Mid-Atlantic Championship wrestling back in the 80s.

Back then Rock n Roll Express were popular....

Then I outgrew the stuff.

Wrestling would parody the world at one time. Today it cannot keep up. And it seems to mild compared to what happens in our world now. I believe the government got involved with the attitude era. It does not matter anymore. Return to what worked and brought in the ratings.
