I'll tell you why. Trey Goudy was great at spending millions on investigations but then doing absolutely nothing about the things that were investigated.

Charges should have been pursued against Lois Lerner also but nothing was done so what was the point with the spending of all that money?

But the investigation would not be to punish Fauci whose name will be continued to be drug through the dirt. No, it will be to expose this so that future Fauci's may take pause on trying to do the same, in addition to exposing those that enabled him and weeding them out
