Willis was disqualified due to an "appearance of impropriety." This stemmed from a romantic relationship she had with Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor she appointed to assist in the case. The Georgia Court of Appeals ruled that this relationship created a conflict, leading to her removal from the case.
Today, September 16, 2025, the Georgia Supreme Court declined to review her appeal against this decision, effectively upholding her disqualification.

Most lawyers are liberals, most judges are liberals. It’s not surprising that judges are willing to bend, twist and mutilate the law for political advantage.
