FAA turned away qualified AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS based solely on race

It happened all across the .gov.

A friend of mine works for the .gov (DHS, not sure which branch), he's approaching retirement, but he applied for a job with another .gov facility two miles from his home so he could stay with the .gov till he's 67 and get the full boat of pension/SS but not have to drive 40 miles in all kinds of weather.

He was told straight-up that it was between him and a black guy and the black guy had "preference" due to his race.

WTF?.....I thought it was illegal but come to find out FJB made an EO to that effect. Equal qualifications and the job goes to the "person of color". I think Trump rescinded all of that nonsense.

Sure enough they offered the job to the black guy around the first week of January, he fiddle-farted around and finally declined it.....Then Trump froze hiring the other day!

Supposedly if they unfreeze it within the next month he will get the job, if not then he has to reapply again.

Basically, they are working out which jobs are considered "essential". The Maintenance & Grounds job he applied for has always been considered as such and is what he does at the current .gov facility he works at.

Anyone can sue for anything. Just because someone sues doesn't mean they have a valid claim, and there's no evidence that the claims made by the plaintiffs or the Wash Times are valid at all.
