Big questions arise from this conflict.
Can Israel finish the job?
We do NOT want American troops on the ground.
Can the religious zealots in Iran be removed from power?
Can the nuclear weapons program be completely dismantled to the point that it cannot be restarted quickly?
If any of these questions is answered with a "no" then the hope of a normalized Middle East is gone.
If the zealots in power remain in power....they are then seen as "bullet proof" and they can then obtain whatever they want. They will have "Won".
If the nuclear weapons facilities are easily restored....another fight somewhere else in the world will get everyone's attention and Iran will take advantage of the opportunity to rebuild and continue to enrich the uranium to weapons grade.
If Israel doesn't finish the job of dismantling the current regime....we are ALL TOAST.
