Ex-Trump lawyer says evidence against him ‘overwhelming’ in Mar-a-Lago case

He'll find someone to throw under the bus. Maybe a shortbus full of people. Lawyers, Kash Patel, just any of the minions he clowns. He is pretty good at that.
Grifty will take some people down with him but he won't get out of this one. Teflon Don is no more. P
If the documents Trump possessed fall under the Presidential Records Act then there is no case against him. The Act states that former Presidents shall have access to Presidential Records. Doesn't matter if they are classified or not. Doesn't matter if the Archivist demanded their return or not. Former President shall, not may, have access to Presidential records. The responsibility for their security falls on the Archivist, not Trump. So if the bathroom wasn't a good spot for them then the Archivist is at fault.
You can actually read the Presidential Records Act online. In plain English it reads that presidential records are public records. So no, documents sitting around in some Mar A Lago outhouse would not be public.

I suspect he will try and delay this as long as possible.

Of course he will. He is old as dirt. The longer he drags it out, the less likely he will ever see a day in prison. It isn't like the Bureau of prisons wants a guy with a secret service detail in their lockup to begin with.

He gets segregation. 23 hours all alone in a concrete cage and for one hour the yard all to himself

Conservatives are cowards; they lack the courage and honesty to address difficult topics.

So they resort to failed, pathetic attempts to deflect, such as yours.
They had the chance in the impeachments. But they lacked the bottle to stand up to trump.
They will likely pay for that a long time.

That's literally not what it says.

44 USC Chapter 22 Sec. 2201 (2):

(2) The term "Presidential records" means documentary materials, or any reasonably segregable portion thereof, created or received by the President, the President’s immediate staff, or a unit or individual of the Executive Office of the President whose function is to advise or assist the President, in the course of conducting activities which relate to or have an effect upon the carrying out of the constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President. Such term--

(A) includes any documentary materials relating to the political activities of the President or members of the President’s staff, but only if such activities relate to or have a direct effect upon the carrying out of constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties of the President; but

(B) does not include any documentary materials that are (i) official records of an agency (as defined in section 552(e) of title 5, United States Code; (ii) personal records; (iii) stocks of publications and stationery; or (iv) extra copies of documents produced only for convenience of reference, when such copies are clearly so identified.

The Reichkooks all huddle around Commie like flies to honey.

I would get general pop, but he won't get anything. He's much to fragile of a former orange snowflake president. He's really a victim in all of this. Just ask him.

I'm mildly amused that the docs case is getting teeth. The J6 sedition case will be the grand finale. And he still won't be imprisoned.

Overwhelming evidence of what he is allowed to do and all before him have done
The horrors!!

You need to read the whole thing thing. All documents belong to the national archives and Trump made mishandling them a felony.

Trump should do at least a year in prison with 10 years probation.

He should, but he won't. He'll cop to a plea deal in exchange to admitting some guilt, to get 5 years probation only.

You're still desperately hoping you can turn Hunter Biden into a "thing", aren't you? Hunter Biden is not running for any office, and you haven't found even a hint of any laws broken by Joe Biden.
Gee, it's hard to find millions extorted from Foreign Aid Packages over a 44-year stretch. But they're on it because the Constitution forbids elected officials who receive government checks as employees to take money or other gifts from foreign countries, much less launder money through the Congressionally-given foreign aid system. *yawn.*

You may be surprised that seeking punishment of someone who exercises his freedom of speech might get set aside by judges who love the Constitution more than their personal braggadocio. :muahaha:
