Tou Thao, the last former Minneapolis police officer convicted in state court for his role in the killing of George Floyd, did not show any repentance or admit any wrongdoing as he was sentenced Monday to 4 years and 9 months.
Nor should he, what a travesty.....This was a political prosecution to appease a mob. A modern day lynching, if you will.

End of story.

Floyd died from a massive, self-inflicted dose of Fentanyl.

And officer Chauvin was basically kneeling on Floyd's shoulders, not the back of his [Floyd's] neck, and in an APPROVED manner in which the MPD trained their officers.

"The Democratic Regime" is ruthless in punishing anyone who is useful to promoting their agenda. The officer literally did NOTHING wrong. This country is turning into Venezuela 2.0.

It was the perfect trigger bait video that ignited massive riots causing billions in damage, injury and deaths. It also launched Black Lives Matter into a world-wide organization for collecting billions from stupid corporations and individuals. If Chauvin had his knee on Floyd's neck with pressure he would have been dead within 30 seconds.

This fellow was just standing around at the scene with his finger up his butt during the event. What did the persecution expect him to do? Shoot Chauvin to get him to let Floyd go?

He stood by while a fellow officer choked the life out of a man for nine minutes.
I don't have a problem with this at all.
I honestly hope that it sends a message to other police officers, that if you see something wrong, and you do nothing about it, you've become part of the problem.

"I was just following my training" ranks right up there with "I was only following Orders!"

Ask the Nazis how that one worked out for them.

Walk up to him. push him off the man's neck and say, "Back off, man, he can't breathe!"

Mr. Thao is a just a little Oriental guy. Not only are orientals too polite to try and manhandle someone like you suggest, he couldn't have done it anyhow.

Oh damn. JoeB131 is right this time. Will there be an eclipse today?

George Floyd is responsible for his own death. No one else

Police carry NARCAN. Those police should have restrained him and gotten him some medical attention.

They surely did not handle that properly and with a lot of apathy.

This has been going on since "The War on Drugs" started.
They shouldn't at least as far as administering it to drug addicts that chose poorly.

Keep some around in case a fellow officer or kid gets contaminated.

If he was too tiny and Asian, he shouldn't have been a cop.

He died from a drug overdose.

Not what three seperate teams found.

A terrible example to set.

Is it really, though? The problem is the police often use excessive force for minor offenses, and are more likely to do so if the suspect is poor or black.

No.

YOu are cherry picking... Let's get the money shot.

Autopsy cites 'restraint and neck compression'

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office ruled Floyd's death was a homicide caused by "cardiopulmonary arrest" complicated by "restraint, and neck compression" while he was being subdued by police.

Medical Examiner Andrew Baker testified that the way officers held Floyd down and compressed his neck while restraining him "was just more than Mr. Floyd could take," given the condition of his heart.

Similarly, an independent autopsy commissioned by Floyd's family ruled "asphyxiation from sustained pressure was the cause" of Floyd's death.

Floyd family attorney Benjamin Crump said at a news conference in June 2020 that Dr. Michael Baden and Dr. Allecia Wilson performed the autopsy, finding there was "neck and back compression that led to a lack of blood flow to the brain."

Dr. Martin Tobin, a pulmonologist and critical care specialist of Loyola University Medical Center, also testified during Chauvin's trial that Floyd died of a lack of oxygen from being pinned to the pavement with a knee on his neck. He added, “A healthy person subjected to what Mr. Floyd was subjected to would have died."

You still do not make a criminal drug addict a hero.
