Ex-Jet Mark Sanchez stabbed, hospitalized, and then arrested.

Sanchez, more famous for the butt fumble than taking the Jets to the AFC Championship, must have started the fight that he seems to have lost.

I heard he was a "trust fund" type kid w/ no worries & things handed to him! Some players just don't make it in the league! :stir:

I for one never saw this coming. I viewed Sanchez as a very nice guy. Hopefully Sanchez and the old man involved with the altercation are safe and ok.

To throw away his broadcasting career over this is so bizarre. The sad part is he was great in the booth and I loved hearing him do games, he is/was so much better than Brady. Just crazy.

Dude's face got slashed open, I'm guessing Sanchez got his hands on the knife and did that to him. This is what alcoholism can do to someone.

As a dedicated Jets fan, I recognize that he was an outstanding player for the team. However, the current situation is deeply disappointing, as the team failed to secure any victories this year. Furthermore, Mark Sanchez should be held responsible for his actions, specifically the assault and injury of a senior citizen.

We haven’t been back to the playoffs since the Mark Sanchez era—14 years, soon to be 15. Back then, he led us to victory against Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the playoffs. He was a great Jet, and while his off-the-field issues are part of his story, they’ll never take away what he accomplished.

Wow. That’s true.

I just looked it up and the Jets have the longest current playoff drought.

I never considered Butt-Fumble Sanchez to be an outstanding player but I can see how that’s relative.
