My God in heaven! What the hell is happening in this country. A CIA goes on an assignment, does her job, and then gets found guilty by a foreign court for the results of that mission. So where the hell is our State Department on this? The next thing you know, foreign governments will try our military members for doing their duty and our government will do nothing to stand up for them!

She is CIA and worked outside of our borders without protection, working for the CIA comes with that risk. She provided material cover for an illegal act, if Italy abducted someone from the streets of Washington D.C. or New York, we would be yelling like stuck pigs in unison. de Sousa was advised that intelligence activities are not covered by immunity, she was a noc and knew the consequences. Even Condoleeza Rice refused to comment on this.

A conviction in an Italian court only means she cannot travel Internationally, which is what she wants to be able to see her mother in India. The U.S. is not going to extradite her by any reckoning I see.

You don't embarrass allies by arresting their spies. The Italians would not be doing this if anyone but Obama was President. He is an assclown, and no one respects him. Any other President would have made this go away quietly. Obama is incompetent, so he allows it to happen to a loyal CIA officer who was serving her country

Spies who commit violent felonies deserve punishment regardless of whether they view themselves as the "good guys." Americans are not that exceptional, in spire of what Obama and all the other rich ass clowns tell you.

You miss the entire point of espionage if you think it's about what people deserve, or who's a good guy, or even who's committing a violent felony. Espionage is a necessary profession, and every major government in the world has espionage agents carrying out their will all over the world. The work of a good espionage team can prevent a war, or prevent an act of terrorism, or prevent nuclear weapons from falling into the wrong hands. Sometimes to accomplish these important goals, it is necessary to kill people, kidnap people, and torture people. Every major country does this, including Italy. If the Italians want to rock the boat and arrest American agents, then what we need to do is arrest, kidnap, or kill some Italian agents. Some other President, any other President, would have already done this and this would never had hit the news.
