And the facilitation for that view is that
none of Leftist iterations view religion as important, or even necessary.
1. Even in the 19th century, as religious conviction waned, the warnings were there.
Ivan Karamazov, in “The Brothers Karamazov,” exclaimed ‘if God does not exist, then everything is permitted.’
2. "There is no God: This concept is an essential element of Marxism.
As Lenin stated: "Atheism is a natural and inseparable portion of Marxism, of the theory and practice of Scientific Socialism."
If God exists and is in supreme command of the universe, He possesses discretionary power, and His actions cannot always be calculated accurately in advance. The whole edifice of Marxism collapses.
When Marx and the Communists deny the existence of God, they simultaneously deny the authority of the Ten Commandments, the existence of absolute standards of right and wrong, of good and evil; and man is left on the playing fields of the universe without a referee, without a book of rules. The winning side in any conflict can decide on what rules of conduct to apply. Morality is the creation of the victor."

As one of his friends later recalled, "Vladimir Ilych Ulyanov (Lenin) had the courage to come out and say openly that famine would have numerous positive results...Famine, he explained....would bring about the next stage more rapidly, and usher in socialism, the stage that necessarily followed capitalism. Famine would also destroy faith, not only in the tsar, but in God, too."

Holland legalized euthanasia, the right of Dutch doctors to kill their elderly patients. Would they do so based on their whim?
a. “The Dutch survey, reviewed in the Journal of Medical Ethics, looked at the figures for 1995 and found that as well as 3,600 authorized cases there were 900 others in which
doctors had acted without explicit consent…. they thought they were acting in the patient's best interests.”

Euthanasia, as Dr. Peggy Norris observed with some asperity,
"cannot be controlled." If this is so, why is Harris so sure that stem-cell research can be controlled? And if it cannot be controlled, just what is irrational about religious objections to social policies that when they reach the bottom of the slippery slope are bound to embody something Dutch, degraded, and disgusting? How many scientific atheists, I wonder, propose to spend their old age in Holland?"

To be clear, PoliticalChic, Karl Marx was not an atheist. Karl Marx was a high priest who practiced Satanism. His own wife's letters and sons letters document evidence of this - along with his own writings which were clearly satanic. He began his life as a Christian and then after befriending a friend who as into Satanism - crossed over - a choice he greatly regretted on his death bed although he knew it was too late - he had wasted away every opportunity of repentance by then - here is a link to some of his quotations - note in his poetry he makes clear his desire to throw God down from his throne. He did indeed believe in God - he just didn't serve him - he served Satan. (So did Lenin and Stalin according to the research done by Richard Wurmbrand in his book Marx & Satan )

"Marx writes: "The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of man is a requisite
for their real happiness. The call to abandon their illusions about their conditions is a
call to abandon a condition which requires illusion...."[p.6]
"Marx was anti-religious because religion obstructs the fulfillment of the Communist ideal which
he considers the only answer to the world's problems."[p 6]
"...a new Marx began to emerge. He writes in a poem, “I wish to avenge myself against the
One who rules above.”[p.7] So he was convinced that there is One above who rules....
Marx belonged to a relatively well-to-do family. He had not hungered in his childhood. He was
much better off than many fellow students. What produced this terrible hatred against God? No
personal motive is known. ...why should he have written these lines in his poem Invocation of
One in Despair? [p.9]
So a god has snatched from me my all
In the curse and rack of destiny.
All his worlds are gone beyond recall!
Nothing but revenge is left to me!
I shall build my throne high overhead,
Cold, tremendous shall its summit be.
For its bulwark -- superstitious dread.
For its Marshall -- blackest agony.[p.8]
The words “I shall build my throne high overhead” and the confession that from the one
sitting on this throne will emanate only dread and agony, remind us of Lucifer’s proud boast:
'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.” (Isaiah 14:13)
But why does Marx wish such a throne? The answer is found in a little-known drama which he
also composed during his student years. It is called Oulanem. To explain this title a digression
is needed.[p.9]
There exists a Satanist church. One of its rituals is the black mass which Satanist priests recite
at midnight....An orgy follows... [pp.10-11]
We will be able to understand the drama Oulanem only in the light of a strange confession
which Marx made in a poem called The Player, later down-played by both himself and his
followers:The hellish vapors rise and fill the brain,
Till I go mad and my heart is utterly changed.
See this sword? The prince of darkness sold it to me. -
For me beats the time and gives the signs.
Ever more boldly I play the dance of death.[p.12]
Now I quote from [Marx's] drama Oulanem:
And they are also Oulanem, Oulanem.
The name rings forth like death, rings forth
Until it dies away in a wretched crawl.
Stop, I’ve got it now! It rises from my soul....
Yet I have power within my youthful arms
To clench and crush you [i.e., personified humanity] with ..............

Interesting fact - the communists were never so troubled as they were after Richard Wurmbrand's book came out exposing the true story on Karl Marx. They were furious and did all they could think of to discredit it him but none of it worked because Wurmbrand's sources were based on the very words written by Marx - copies of letters - much of what was archived by the Russians - he used their own documents - much of it - to prove the point that Marx was a God hating satanist. Amazing, eh? You should buy the book, Marx & Satan by Richard Wurmbrand! You won't regret it! That link will give you information you probably have never seen before! What a great time to expose Satan! The month of October! ha! ha! I love it.
