German law prohibited strikes at that time, the German Labour Front obeyed the law, much like unions in states that prohibit teachers strikes.
Strikes aren't an essential part of being a union, collecting dues and initiation fees are and Big Labor definitely did that in Germany.

Figures with EV's are by percentage because it looks big. The numbers per unit are tiny compared to ICE vehicles. Governments are trying to control the market, so it's ******* up. As it says in the article, folk just start buying fewer cars in general. As the Chinese junk EV sales increase, the fires will follow the same trend.
