It will not work, worse for them, it will only embolden his supporters to despise the EU further and demand Trump go all the way, even.escalate. Trump supporters arent squishy, they want a fighter and if Trump fights for them, they will for him. Tney just had an election.where Trump repeatedly spoke about fariffs. I read the honest comments on YT about Canadas tariff war and some of the strongest words were shared AFTER Ford threatened U.S energy (a real miscalculation IMO) They were basically repeating, "I dont care what needs to be done or what I need to sacrifice, its time to just do it and bring our manufacturing back". This is going to be a difficult situation for the EU and others as Americans are ready for thie fight after four years of Biden policies.and lost jobs, especially when the reciprocal tariffs hit in April. The are going to receive a taste of their own medicine and will literally only have their own tariff/protectionist policies to blame as they will.be mirrored in April. Ultimately Trump will reduce all barriers, and/or the U.S will gain hundreds of thousand of jobs through investment.
