Et tu, Stephen Hawking???

It will not be over until the caliphate fantasy evaporates
in the same way that the Reich Fantasy evaporated.
The "palestine" issue is simply the "CANARY"

The way Hawking is idolized makes me nauseous. Granted, he is brilliant. But he is just a man. So effing what that he says this or that. He also said we need to find another earth. Um. Ok. Sure. We will get right on that while we continue to kill this one.

He isn't God. What's with the worship of him? I don't give a rats ass what Hawking says or thinks.

But that's me.

Gracie----a person very close to me-----is also an astrophysicist----and ---
a recipient of the president's National Freedom Award-------I consider his
political opinions to be silly------kinda AIR-HEAD kinda stuff. The jihadists
seem to believe they have STRUCK GOLD---because some people
convinced Hawkings not to attend a conference. So far the only statement
that seems to have been emitted from his machinery has been very
vague------he mentions "israeli policy"------and then something about
some coming disaster. I have no idea to what "disaster' he refers----
maybe he is worried that some jihadist would shoot his air craft down----
or bomb tne convention hall. The entire "glorious" age of islamic
conquest----that created the vast islamic empire----was based on
terrorism ------and "do it our way or die" -----it's an effective
method ------but what sort of people would be so PROUD of it?

When Polymaths like Einstein, Hawking and Chomsky speak, we need to listen very carefully, because they are the Oracles in our lifetimes, and can see the Forrest from the trees...

Israel needs to accept the world-view peace with some minor changes and acceptance into the neighborhood because Military Power can not protect her in the modern world of Rocket based wars...

There is a cause and effect for aggression of both sides.

Did someone die and leave those three Oracles in charge? Just askin'.

Lets ask our own oracle, shall we?

Seems to me like the good professor wussed out, he would have made a greater impact standing tall and facing those against whom he has a powerful statement to make. He allegedly stated, "Had I attended, I would have stated my opinion that the policy of the present Israeli government is likely to lead to disaster." Others who have accepted include, "5,000 people from around the world, including business leaders, academics, artists and former heads of state. Former US president Bill Clinton, former UK prime minister Tony Blair, former Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev, Prince Albert of Monaco and Barbra Streisand have accepted invitations, according to organisers."

HAWKINGÂ’S BOYCOTT HAS ROCKED THE FOUNDATIONS OF ZION MORE THAN ANY OTHER

The list of celebrities who daily add their name to the BDS Movement continues to grow worldwide. Never before, however, has one person created such a ‘fuss’ by doing so. It has been truly a low blow to the foundations of zion as never seen before as Stephen Hawking joined that eminent list.

Netanyahu even found it necessary to comment in the Jerusalem Post Â…

“He should investigate the truth, he is a scientist. He should study the facts and draw the necessary conclusions: Israel is an island of reason, moderation and a desire for peace.”

Well then you must agree with Hawking's other "moral" anti Christian views then.
There's a lot of bullshit Christian's out there that have nothing to do with Jesus.

They say things HE'd never say and do things HE'd never do.

True Christian's do not support wars of choice.

Israel's treatment of the Palestinian's is so horrific, that you have to go back to the Holocaust to find a population of people that were treated worse.

Yep. When I get on Google Earth, I look down on Gaza and see nothing but bodies littering the countryside. I'm gonna find out who's been cashing their welfare checks. This is not good.

".... he is brilliant."
Well....perhaps, not considered so by everyone....
I wonder if you've seen this, by mathematician David Berlinski:

"There is Steven Hawkings best selling “A Brief History of Time,” widely considered fascinating by those who did not read it, and incomprehensible by those who did. The work will seem remarkably familiar to readers who grasp the principle behind pyramid schemes or magical acts in which women disappear into a box only to emerge as tigers shortly thereafter."

If you were any more full of it youÂ’d be infracting the national foie gras restrictions.

"Arabs in Israel have equal rights under the law
Arabs in Israel can vote for whoever they want
Arabs in Israel can worship freely
Arabs in Israel are entitled to the full same state education as all other Israelis
Arabs are members of the Israeli parliament and ministers in the government

Israeli society gives more opportunity to Arabs than do Arab states to their own citizens."

let me give you a clue in the form of a question and let's see if you can figure it out, hip pocket.

is hawking boycotting the conference because he didn't get his choice of dinner on the menu or is he boycotting the conference because israel's treatment of the palestinians is horrific?

Today's people are interested in today and maybe tomorrow.

It is crazy - worse than crazy; consciously insulting - to ask someone suffering now to lighten up because it was uphill to school in both directions plus it snowed all year back in the day.

Strange world.
Often, there are events difficult to explain...
....the following is one.

1. "How Stephen Hawking Abandoned Einstein and Turned on Israel

2. Has Stephen Hawking really left the company of Albert Einstein, an avowed Zionist who worked to create the State of Israel, and replaced him with the august company of Elvis Costello and other Israel boycotters?

3. In his statement embracing the boycott of the Jewish state, Hawking said, “I have received a number of emails from Palestinian academics. They are unanimous that I should respect the boycott. In view of this I must withdraw from the conference.”

4. One would think that HawkingÂ’s response to these academics might be a call to, say, Hamas to start using the billions channeled to the Palestinians as the worldÂ’s largest per capita recipients of international foreign aid into building universities rather than buying bombs, or educating women rather than tacitly allowing the honor killings of young Palestinian women ...

5. ...Hawking decided instead to condemn the country whose scholars have won ten Nobel prizes, from a population of six million, while the entire Arab world, numbering in the hundreds of millions, have won two, outside the peace prize (another four). Clearly, a knowledge of physics is no guarantor of a knowledge of foreign affairs.

6. ...often called the Einstein of his generation, it is worth reminding him that Einstein was a committed Zionist who traveled around the United States with Chain Weizmann to raise money for the creation of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, an institution that Hawking now refuses to even visit.

a. ....Einstein wrote, “On Saturday I'm off to America — not to speak at universities (though there will probably be that, too, on the side) but rather to help in the founding of the Jewish University in Jerusalem. I feel an intense need to do something for this cause.”

b. ...[and] Einstein wrote, “I am not at all eager to go to America but am doing it only in the interests of the Zionists, who must beg for dollars to build educational institutions in Jerusalem and for whom I act as high priest and decoy . . . I do what I can to help those in my tribe who are treated so badly everywhere.”

7. When in 1948 President Truman recognized the new Jewish State of Israel, Einstein declared it "the fulfillment of our dream.”

8. How unfortunate that a man as visionary as Stephen Hawking can peer so deeply into the Universe but it is so myopic as to fail to see the righteousness of IsraelÂ’s cause even as it stares him right in the face."
