Apparently they have affected advertising revenue by pointing out the surge in anti semitism on his free speech platform. I think this might be a difficult case for Musk to make.
Most people who threaten legal action tend to drop the threat once given advice. Musk can obviously afford a legal case but does he want all of the extremist crap on twitter aired before a jury ?
Perhaps he is just hoping to silence the good folk at ADL ?

No surprise, a subject/slave of a degenerate shithole of a nation that doesn't recognize such basic human rights as freedom of speech, has no clue about this right as understood by those of us who have it, and the limitations thereof.

In the UK, you can be arrested and jailed just for saying something that the government doesn't like. Here in the US, you can only be prosecuted for speech, after the fact if you say something that is untrue, and one who claims to have been harmed for that untruth sues. “Prior restraint” on speech is prohibited here in the US.

The ADL has criticized Twitter for failing to take action against hate speech, charging that fewer than a third of posts flagged for antisemitic content were removed or sanctioned; and it joined other civil rights groups last year in calling for advertiser boycotts.​

See the bolded part? It was the ADL that was demanding censorship of legitimate free speech, and when it didn't get its way, it slandered and attacked the platform for refusing to engage in such censorship; allegedly leading to tangible financial losses on the part of that platform.
