My opinion would normally be that he not dipped his toes into the water, but considering there is a battle for the soul of the U.S, left vs right buying up media outlets (see Soros buying radio), he can do the reverse of buying twitter where he grossly overpaid, he could get MSNBC at a deep discount.

Just so you Republicans know, this is all part of the plan or pathway to Oligarchy. And who do we have to blame? Bill Clinton. The Republicans got him to deregulate the media via the 1996 Telecommunication Act. It's one of 4 times Bill really stabbed us liberals in the back. Singing NAFTA was another.

But this is what I've been saying when I say the media is no longer liberal. After Clinton deregulated the media, 7 corporations gobbled up 90% of it.

It's liberal to make you mad. Who got you worked up over transvestites? The media. Even the Supreme Court sides with gays a lot. Why? To make you mad. It's a social wedge issue they use to "appear" liberal but they are only as liberal as a corporation will be. Certainly not pro labor. So he can have MSNBC. He'll kill it. I'll give you another great example of how/why the media isn't liberal. Go on that radio channel that played Rush Limbaugh. They play 24/7 conservative right wing lies/spin. The corporations who own those radio stations realize there is an audience in radio. Liberal too if they would give Democrats 12 of those hours.

They would double their ratings and money but they'd prefer to just push right wing spin. So money isn't everything. Look how much billionaires spent on Trump. All to save some taxes? They could have just not donated to Trump and saved just as much. So what do they get in return for all that money they give Trump?

Same reason they don't allow liberal talk on their radio stations.

Perhaps the fairness doctrine needs to come back too. And undo Citizens United.
