As many know, Elon Musk will head a government agency to week out unnecessary government spending and waste. "We can do a lot more with tax payer money that is being done," said Elon, "Like fly back to the moon so we can do cool stuff like golf and ride around on AMV's and take really cool pictures!"

When asked what his future exploration plans are for space, Elon says he is going to fly people to Mars. "I hear they have a lot of really cool rocks, red ones, and I can't wait to get people up there to see them in person! People, we need to get off this planet teeming with life and try to live on a dead one that is devoid of any living organisms. Trust me on this, it will be a lot of fun. We can fix the dead planet Mars and make it teeming with life, just like we will fix the Swamp in a year or two. You'll see! My only question is, what are the tee times on Mars?"

Actually, investing in such technology is fundamental in terms of national security.

Who ever owns space probably wins the next global war.

As for living off this planet, I have grown cynical regarding the efficacy of it. Just venturing away from the protection of the magnetic core of the earth will unleash deadly radiation on anyone who ventures from it. If they do go to Mars, they would probably have to go directly underground and stay there to protect themselves from the deadly cosmic gamma rays all around.

It would be easier to try and live at the bottom of the deepest Ocean on earth, and probably safer.

The Shuttle Program was an abject disaster. I know someone who worked on them and he said the bureaucratic nightmare known as NASA was using technology that was decades too old.
