An Ectopic pregnancy requires immediate emergency medical attention. It is a life threatening condition. You can not wait until morning and wait in line.

Most likely, almost always the first symptom is severe cramping, severe as in you will be crying and demanding to go to the emergency room. If you go to planned parenthood you are wasting precious time.

how near death is she?

I had to rush my fiance to the emergency room. It took them less than 30 seconds to get her into surgery.

I was left standing with the pen in my hand, did not even have a chance to write her name down.

The nurse new immediately what was wrong.

Ectopic pregnancies are being treated nonchalantly, as if an abortion will be a solution.

The woman will be taken to a hospital. It is an emergency.

An abortion is not performed, they rupture, burst, causing severe internal bleeding. The woman is rapidly dying.

From onset of pain you may have a few hours to live.

I am sorry to hear of your loss, but happy to hear you live somewhere where abortion is legal, and she could get surgery immediately. Abortion is the ONLY solution.

Hopefully they can save the fallopian tube, but I only had one tube from the time I was 13 and I had no problems whatsoever getting pregnant or having children. I wish your girlfriend a speedy and full recovery.

Like I said, they did surgery, not an abortion. The pregnancy, fetus, burst in the fallopian tube. At that point it is 100% dead. Removing what is now dead tissue is an operation, not an abortion. By all definitions of the word abortion.

You are reckless to state an abortion is performed. What if a young woman has an ectopic pregnancy who has read your posts and goes to Planned Parenthood thinking they can help her, she gets to planned parenthood which can not perform what you call an abortion. That lost time can result in her dying.

Reckless and heartless, for politics

A woman who has pain in her gut, that gets worst and worst, better get to an emergency room.

Hilarious for someone with several misspelled words and bad grammar.

Repair/removal of a damaged fallopian tube is not an abortion. The medical procedure does not terminate a pregnancy.

Oh, I'm sorry. This happened to a friend of mine. Her entire abdomen flooded with blood after her fallopian tube ruptured. Very serious situation.

An ectopic pg is not an "abortion". An embryo implanted in a tiny fallopian tube cannot survive and, in its demise, will take the mother too. I don't know anyone--even the most staunch pro-lifers--who won't allow the removal of an ectopic pregnancy. If they do, they really aren't pro-life, because they are putting the mother's life at serious risk with no benefit at all.

Haha
Look everyone, another democrat, shows all they can do, is check spelling, and question, grammar.

I put commas in there to break it up for you, so you can check the spelin, and figure out what it means

Did you read my post, an ectopic pregnancy is in the fallopian tube. You dont know what is being discussed. Ectopic pregnancy never result in a birth. They are extreme, life threatening emergencies.

If and when the sugeon removes the fallopian tube, the beginning to form fetus being inside the fallopian is removed as well

Let me first tell you I'm sorry for what happened. I hope both of you are doing fine.

Texas.

Idaho.

Jennifer Adkins, of Caldwell, lead plaintiff in the case, was pregnant with her second child when she learned at 12 weeks of pregnancy that her baby was unlikely to survive because of multiple conditions, including the likelihood of Turner syndrome, which usually results in miscarriage. Even if she didn’t miscarry, Jennifer was likely to develop mirror syndrome, which could lead to edema and preeclampsia—both life-threatening conditions—if left untreated. She was able to obtain abortion care by traveling with her husband to Oregon—but only after receiving financial assistance from two abortion funds.

Both States argued that their abortion bans are more important than the EMTALA act.

So when you say that it's not a pro-life position you are arguing from personal opinion not objective fact.

A Texas woman got a court order to terminate an ectopic pregnancy in Texas and Ken Paxton threatened her doctor and her hospital that they would face charges if she terminated that pregnancy. She had to go out of state.

Another woman applied for a court order and the judge refused her request on the grounds that she wasn't in danger of dying at that moment.

As incredible as it seems, women with ectopic pregnancies are being refused "exceptions" and they're dying as a result. This never was about being "pro-life". It's about controlling women.

You're misunderstanding the process. PP doesn't treat problem pregnancies or the complications of pregnancy, even if the treatment for that complication is abortion. PP only does "elective abortions". If you have problems with your pregnancy, PP is not where you go.

A surgical abortion was performed. Yes the tube had burst and the fetus had died, but they still performed an abortion to remove it and repair the damage.

My posts are neither reckless nor heartless. My posts told you that an ectopic pregnancy only ends one way.

You are so fortunate she was at the hospital when her tube burst.

You're not okay, are you? I mean really not okay.

This was a baby dx with Trisomy 13. THIS WAS NOT AN ECTOPIC PG

Please tell me you understand the difference. Please.

I'm still sitting here astounded to be honest....

This woman was far enough along to know her baby has Trisomy 13. She would have had to have a C Section.

Do you know what an ectopic pregnancy is?

Help

With so many more women opting for home births, or working with a doula or midwife, etc. it is important to have a plan in place should hospital care become necessary. On the other hand, the rate of C-sections has increased dramatically over the past several decades. This is problematic as that is a serious medical procedure that is not without risk to say the least.
