I contacted ebay about chinese fake coins being sold on ebay, shipped from China. They wrote back and basically careless about their customers getting ripped off so they can make 4 dollars a transaction. This is how sick hearts are in this world. $$$$ is god to most today.

The last time I went to ebay I wanted to sell my 1080 HD projector, and it is a good one. To buy a new one today, the Epson home cinema series, cost about $4000.
I bought this one for $1400 new in 2013. I tried to sell it about 4 years ago, 2021. So it was 8 years old, but it's lamp life was not even close to half over.
I listed it for $1000. The first thing non projector knowledge'd people would say, you paid $1400 for it 8 years ago and you think you can sell it for a grand?? Yes. Because of what it costs to get a new one of the kind of quality projector it is. High quality projectors hold their value, even appreciate in value.
The only returns I got were people trying to buy it for $500 or so, and they were all resellers. They wasn't buying it to use, they wanted to buy it for $500 so THEY could sell it in a store for $1000.
Meh - haven't been back there since.
And yes, I still have the projector and the 5 speaker surround sound system.

I buy and sell on eBay all the time and have for 20+ years. I could count the issues I've had on one hand.

The chi-coms have been scamming buyers on coins for years. I see them come into the pawn shop all the time. Most of the time they don't even weigh the same as the coin they are supposed to be.

I don't mess with electronics (buying or selling) on eBay at all due to all the scammers on both ends.

I stick to gun parts/militaria and related items.

Facebook marketplace would be a better venue for selling that.

The only issue I have with eBay is that they largely use Amazon logistics as their shipper, supposedly. The purchases arrive in Amazon packaging.

I do not give my money to Amazon, so if I want to make a purchase on eBay, I have to go to the trouble of making sure the seller does not ship via Amazon logistics.

I wonder if Amazon just started using eBay as a disguise when pro-life people started boycotting Amazon when they proudly announced that they'd pay for their employees' out-of-state abortion vacations.

Yeah, that torques me a bit too, but it's usually just something common like when I order vitamins or such. Most everything else comes by USPS Ground Advantage snail mail.

I've learned a lot about ordering from the maker. It's easy to find out who that is from both Amazon and eBay. It may cost extra to order from the manufacturer or from other sources, but to me it's a moral matter and my soul is worth a lot more than some extra shipping.

I can't say that I'm all that bothered about sweating such small details.
