The Beatles - My Bonnie (German Intro):mm:

I recently bought a car with a SiriusXM ready stereo. Apparently carvana somehow notified Sirius, and with her a week Sirius mailed me something offering me several months of free service! I went for it and then they offered me an additional 2 months for just $2... So I went for it again. One of the stations that I listen to most is the Beatles Channel (in addition to 60's, 70's and Bob Marley. I never owned a lot of Beatles albums, probably only about 3 in my 54 years of life. This is truly making up for that! I'm hearing versions of old songs that are a bit different from the original radio versions, plus a lot of Beatles covers by other artists and very obscure songs I've never heard before. I'm kind of amazed that while some of their 60s songs were not really recorded well in spite of being very good song, they also had some tunes from the mid to late '60s which were absolutely excellent in both composition and recording quality. In some cases I was blown away.

I love the Santana version of Imagine! Just heard that one a few hours ago. 😌 I think I actually liked it better than the original John Lennon recording!

The Beatles ~ I'll Follow The Sun (Stereo) 1964

They were good songwriters but not particularly good singers.
I just got to New York City returning from Germany and saw signs all over stating "The Beatles are coming"

I expected magic. The Beatles sounded to me like the many bands I heard in Germany playing at the Army EM club. It caused me to say, so what? I was used to Elvis and that group. Depeche mode later was one of my favorites.

Here is a cute little number by Helen Shapiro featuring the young Beatles who were on the threshold of stardom. Filmed in early 1963, Helen Shapiro was the bigger name at the time. It's funny watching them mug for each other. The Beatles were playful, and Shapiro was comically irreverent towards them.
