Dumbest Sport Out There.....Professional Power Slap

Dumbest sport I can think of.

Letting someone slap you.....and you score a knockout, you win.

Nothing says competition like giving someone a concussion.

It's designed to humiliate people and draw crowds of dumb, young people to watch I guess.

It will probably take off somehow and the top people will be making millions. A small exchange for the potential lifetime of damage they may have subjected themselves to. Look at boxers after 10 years of taking repeated punches to the head.

In the realm of dumb sports, professional power slap is still not in the same league as:

Extreme Ironing - where better to iron clothes than a shear cliff

Chess Boxing - which combines analytical thinking with a right upper cut.

Shin kicking - ouch!

and

Ferret Leggings- drop a Ferret down your pants and see who lasts the longest with a ferret in your pants.

Those are so absurd that I am laughing.

Growing up my dad took me to rural redneck bars where they did things like power slap and arm wrestling I guess it has gone upscale now. The managment always had a ''ringer'' in the group.

This sport is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

I kind of like chess boxing.

I said the same as you.

Then I watched it, and it’s not as bad as I thought, it’s mildly entertaining.

There’s tons of rules and things you can’t do, it makes the slap into a skilled technique. There’s fouls and scoring like in boxing.

It’s still ridiculous, and I would never tell or encourage a friend or family member to do it. But if people are going to do it, it’s not a bad option to check out here and there

And IMO, watching the whole matchup is way better than watching “best of” slaps. You get to see the build up, the crap talking, etc.

Put it in a stadium, make teams and sell beer. It may go over.
