Where the wild things are
Jerusalem is blocked, as all roads leading in and out are closed by police and military.

Home front took control over road 443, took care of civilians in hypothermia (some of them children who needed hospitalization).

Border guards taking control over 'The Nation's buildings' and opening shelters fro civilians in need.

Jerusalem to stay closed until morning at last.

A dreadful situation. Looks like authorities will have to learn from this winter's situation so they can be better prepared for next winter and the following winters.

Power is out in 60% of the WB and the weather has been the cause of 50 deaths so far in Gaza

Israel has opened the floodgates of one of its dams in the eastern part of the Gaza Strip, flooding Palestinian houses and causing severe damage.

The Israeli authorities opened the dam’s floodgates without any prior warning or coordination with local authorities in Gaza, stunning the residents of the area, the Press TV correspondent in Gaza reported late on Monday.

There has been heavy rain in the region over the past 24 hours. It seems the Israeli authorities could not handle the huge amount of rainwater and decided to open the floodgates without prior warning.

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Gaza government's Disaster Response Committee announced late Friday that Israeli authorities had opened up dams just east of the Gaza Strip, flooding numerous residential areas in nearby villages within the coastal territory.

Committee chairman Yasser Shanti said in a press conference that Israeli authorities had opened up dams just to the east of the border with the Gaza Strip earlier in the day.

israel built this Dam to prevent the rainwater's natural flow into Gaza, depriving the Gaza aquifer from its main natural source of underground water.

Israel's new tactic is to drown the Palestinian people. ... :doubt:

As the readers can see, Sunni Man has no compassion for the way these refugees were treated in Egypt. Right away he quickly goes back to blaming Israel for something or other. I guess this is what good Muslims are supposed to do, even when they are converts.

Poor Silly-Sally is so starved for attention that she has to make appeals to imaginary people. ... :cuckoo:

Israel is evacuating thousands from gaza TO SAVE THEIR LIVES because of the weather.
Pumps, supplies, fuel are all being brought to gaza. The weather is not just cutting power and stranding Israelis, it is affecting everyone in the region.
Even when the weather passes the coast and sea will have been impacted as well.
If water could have been channeled and pumped into the dead sea.......
Shame so much water will go to waste in a part of the world so desperate for fresh water.

This thread shows what is wrong with the arab position and right with the israeli position.

If the arabs were so over the top in their condemnation, they would have more sympathy.

Once the Palestinians love their children more than killing Israeli children, all of this stupidity will stop.

Gaza drowning ?and under power and media blackout | In Gaza

and you never bothered to check and find out the dam was a lie?????
Shame on you.

Israel set up a joint command center with Palestinian security in the West Bank to handle storm-related traffic and electricity problems.

Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories verified a Mekorot transfer of water pumps to the Gaza Strip due to heavy flooding across the strip.

Pumps were transferred through the Kerem Shalom crossing following UN request.

Flurries of snow surprised residents in the Gaza Strip, but heavy rain also hit the Palestinian territory, making many roads impassable. Emergency workers used fishing boats to evacuate 700 people from their homes and provide food, blankets and torches to hundreds of others caught in high water.

The IDF said on Friday it had opened a crossing with Gaza in response to a UN appeal to let in aid supplies.

UN relief teams offered emergency services to the worst-hit communities in the West Bank and Gaza.
The zionist IDF pukes of Israel weren't going to let the people of Gaza get help until the UN stepped in and forced their hand. .. :doubt:
