Novartis official: Michael Cohen was 'promising access' after Trump election

Play for pay..simple as that, I guess:

"President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, contacted the drug giant Novartis after the 2016 election "promising access" to the new administration, and Special Counsel Robert Mueller later requested information from the company about the offer, a senior official inside Novartis told NBC News on Wednesday.

"He [Cohen] contacted us after the new administration was in place," the official said. "He was promising access to the new administration."

The disclosure came after an attorney representing the adult-film actress who says she had an affair with Trump released a summary of bank transactions that he says shows payments from various companies to a company controlled by Cohen.

That lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said the transactions suggest that Cohen was "selling access to the President of the United States." Cohen, his attorney and the White House did not respond to a request for comment."

Aren't all large campaign contributions pretty much the same thing?

If campaign funds were being "funnelled" through Trump's lawyer's "shell company" account, that is probably not kosher, right?

Nobody ever did that before!!!

ZOMG

We got him this time!! Part 708,418

Isn't it a crime for Avenetti to be in possession of that information??

...?

But this time, it's Trump, and libs can act like it's something brand new, never been done before, and use it to gin up their base, who we all know are dumb as rocks.

And who knows, if they keep yelling as loud as they can, they might convince new stupid people that they are onto something.

And what else are they going to do? Talk honestly or seriously about the issues? LOL!!!

Yeah OL, but these really weren't "campaign contributions" - They were paid directly to Cohen specifically for access who then squirreled the money into Donald's "Girl Problem" slush fund controlled by Cohen.

If it were a crime, I have a feeling Avenatti wouldn't be making public statements about it. js

And before this no one ever paid a lawyer or lobbyist for access, right?

I thought Cohen had to take out a home equity loan to pay Stormy. So this money was sent in to reimburse Cohen? If so, that makes the Trump WH liars about Cohen being reimbursed via monthly retainer. I doubt they will ever prove any of this. It will be interesting to hear what they say those payments were for, though, and the companies making those payments. Every single one of them is going "Oh Shit!" right now. If Avenatti has the legal oomph to even bring any of this to court.

Well, forget talking seriously about the issues with YOU folks. I've been trying, about a lot of things this past week and it's like you're all possessed or something.

Not sure what group you are referring to with "you folks".

I am all about serious discussion of the issues. It just is so rare.

So terribly sadly rare.

Gee I wonder if all the people and companies that made huge donations to the Clinton Foundation were looking to get access to her?

Those are dems.

Different rules for different people. YOu know that.

So Cohen is making a personal promise on his own for something he can't deliver on. Yawn.

Discovery motion from the lawsuit. That's why it's so perfect when trump threatens to sue people....they get access to everything that way.
Kind of like the Russian company Mueller charged wanting its day in court and asking for discovery, huh? Why isn't Mueller ponying up?
