Drop boxes have become key to election conspiracy theories. Two Democrats just fueled those claims

Why would someone dropping fake ballots fan them out like that in front of a camera?

Looks like he is intentionally fucking with you

You still haven‘t explained how someone can drop off a fake ballot and have it counted
Yeah, because he knew I'd be watching... :uhoh3:
But the fact still remains. How many ballots was he about to stuff in the box? Is he Sybil?

It's "fake news" when the accusation is made by Republicans. But it's a legitimate news story when the accusation is made by Democrats.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A woman approaches a drop box in the dark with what appears to be handfuls of ballots. At a different drop box, someone else is seen making multiple trips to insert ballots. At yet another, the same car stops on at least three separate occasions, with different people stepping out and heading to the box.

The accusations... are being made by Democrats — two candidates vying for mayor in Connecticut’s largest city, in a heavily Democratic state that began allowing drop boxes to be used during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The videos and the fact that the claims are being pushed by two Democratic candidates threaten to further inflame criticism from the right that drop boxes are vehicles for election mischief. It’s a perception that election officials have been fighting for three years.

The videos have trickled out in the weeks since the Sept. 12 primary in the Bridgeport mayor’s race between incumbent Joe Ganim and his challenger, John Gomes, the city’s former chief administrative officer. Gomes, who lost by 251 votes out of 8,173 cast, filed an election challenge a week later after a video appeared to show a Ganim supporter putting several envelopes into a drop box outside a city hall annex in the early morning.

Ganim, who has denied involvement, is pointing to another batch of videos posted online that appear to show Gomes’ supporters making multiple stops at other ballot drop boxes. Gomes has said he has spoken with those shown in the videos and been told they were dropping off ballots for relatives.

In Connecticut, voters using a drop box must return their completed ballot themselves or designate certain family members, police, local election officials or a caregiver to do it for them.

Again
Can you explain how fake ballots can be accepted?

What is put in a Drop Box is no different than what is put in a mail box

My wife is on the rolls 3 times. Her married name, her maiden name, and at the previous address she lived at. Been that way for years even after she has brought it to their attention. If she was an unscrupulous democrat she would be able to vote 3 times each ballot would be linked to a specific registered vote, doesn’t make it legal

Would you visit her in prison?

Gee what a coincidence that they supposedly show voter fraud in Arizona and Georgia.

Still there are checks and balances and ballots are verified for authenticity.

Their is also video thus the site is monitored. So they can check on those ballots and talk to the person who dropped it off. People on video have claimed they were dropping off multiple ballots for family members. So it is logical if a family of voters just sends one person to drop of the ballots. Also voter gatherings can meet in one place, cast their votes , and have one person deposit those votes.

The convenience factor is good. Yes it can be a problem. But video surveillance can catch those who may be doing something illegal.

So if one person drops off the ballots that means the others do not have to. I would do it.

Still jumping to conclusion based on video without verification is the state of affairs in politics.

You still need more evidence. That bandwagon of making assumption is already full.

Wait for the investigation to finish before jumping to conclusions.

I would have no need to she isn’t a democrat and respects our constitution so doesn’t engage in that kind of behavior.
It has happened before where people were registered in two jurisdictions
When caught, they went to jail

Why risk it for one extra vote?

you can't prove that at all. No forensic audit of those ballots has ever been done. So, counting ballots isn't proof of anything. An invalid ballot can be counted like any other valid ballot. Here's what I want to see, let's take one of those supposed invalid ballots and contact the person who supposedly sent it in via a proxy and ask if they actually did that. In other words, the person submitting dozens of ballots gives the names of those they got the ballots from. hmmmmmmmmmmm? That would knock the snot out of this immediately.
