To think that the SCOTUS is not going to side with Trump on his tariff taxes on the American people, ls aggressive wishful thinking. Trump has this SCOTUS so deep in his pocket, they will never get out. They have already said that he can do most anything he wants and not be considered a criminal. They have, in effect, made him a king, and they surely will not rule against him on taxes. They have proved their allegiance to him, basically saying "Long live the king!"

Bigly!!!

It's too late to stop fascism's defeat of democracy.

Resigning to the obvious facts can be helpful.

It's just not going to be easy for them to admit that their Constitution is now null and void.

How could this have happened in America?

The resistance needs to get over their fear of admitting to it. The working class chose Trump as their last chance. They can start accepting the blame.

For starters, the US is NOT a democracy, duck. It IS and ALWAYS HAS BEEN a republic. Educate yourself.

You would hope that wouldn't happen, but I think you are going to be right. SCOTUS is the only thing standing in the way of disaster, and 6 of them are pro trump stooges.

Translation: Six of them obey the law and overrule the DEI political hacks.

Au contraire, the constitution has been the basis--the SCOTUS just confirmed what that document has stipulated from the founding of this country.
If that's the case, then Trump's tariffs are seriously in trouble because the founders clearly indicated that application of tariffs was a Congressional power.

You still have faith in saving democracy. That just makes you a patsy.

Tariffs have been a constant in this country since the founding.
No doubt. The founders intended for Congress to set the tariffs, not Trump.

If SCOTUS sticks to the constitution as intended by the founders, he's fucked. The founders never intended for the president to be able to set tariffs to anything he wants any time he wants.

Call it what you want, but maybe next time don't try to murder our presidential candidate (twice) and put all of his supporters in prison.
Did someone try to put you in prison?

Lots of 'yeah buts' should be expected now, from those who are sane enough to understand that they need to apologize for accepting Trump's fascist regime. Most aren't.

It's too late. Even the Scotus is his.

Hmmmm, I don't hear the outcry from congress---do you?
