I know that knee jerk progressives like you would LIKE to believe that the reason Barack Obama has been such an awful President is because of the GOP, Deanie...but reality begs to differ with your viewpoint. When Barry stepped into the Oval Office, he did so with super majorities in the House and Senate. The GOP could have stood on their heads chanting Hari Krishna prayers and it wouldn't have affected his ability to pass whatever legislation he wanted...AS LONG AS HE COULD CONVINCE ALL THE DEMOCRATS TO VOTE FOR IT!

The fact is, large parts of Barry's agenda were so flawed, he couldn't get Democrats to vote for them. It wasn't the GOP that defeated Cap & Trade or Card Check. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi couldn't come up with enough Democrats to pass that legislation.

What Barry DID get them to pass was ObamaCare and his stimulus package...and you know what? Many of those Democrats no longer HAVE jobs in Congress BECAUSE they signed their names to those two failed policies.

Your problem is that Barack Obama is generally clueless and has surrounded himself with an administration filled with equally clueless people. They haven't succeeded because they don't know what they are doing...not because the GOP obstructed their agenda. What's amusing to me is that you can't quite grasp that if things like Cap & Trade and Card Check HAD been passed that our unemployment situation would be worse...not better. "Obstruction" protected Obama from himself.
