I have been an official/public stock analyst for 48 years and right now the traders are looking at a strong down market ahead. If Trump raises tariffs next week as he has stated he will, the market will continue lower until such a time that the numbers come out showing the consequences of those tariffs, which are expected to raise inflation strongly. That inflation won't start to be shown for another 2-3 months, meaning that the expectations of that will continue to pressure the market until those numbers show exactly how much.

For now, further downside is to be seen. The DOW has OPEN AIR below to the 40,000 level (right now it is at 41,500). That is where the next area of support is located. If that area is broken, the 36,000 area will become the target. If that target is reached, you will have the market falling 20% in value. W. e have not had a 30% drop in value in the market since Bush Jr. was president (Republican President)

Ridiculous. My retirement plan has about 18 fund options, everything from aggressive growth to goverment bonds. It's a matter of going in there and hitting the "reallocate" button. I've done it twice since Mr. Trump took over.

Biden dealt with the pandemic longer than trump did and it was in full bloom for him so I am not surprised if more died on his watch. The real question here is if trump handled it well to begin with we wouldn't have had the most deaths in the world from it. Hard to catch up when you're following someone who was sending mixed messages and trying to make himself look good instead of dealing properly with the problem.
