I bet Iran accepts. Why would they not? Trump has offered to stop bombing their country and leave the infrastructure intact--- what's not to like? Sure! Iran will take that! And All Iran has to do is stop launching the few rockets they have left, allow time to regroup, Russia and China to help resupply them, then break the agreement and we start all over buying them yet more time.


They reopen the Strait, they keep their infrastructure, they make money, they get the USA out of the region sooner, then they are right back where they were before, rearming, attacking, and rebuilding their nukes.

A total win-win for Iran.

Trump merely delays a nuke threat.
Trump merely postpones more threats.
Trump doesn't get any regime change.
The IRGC survives to fight another day and America is out 50 billion bucks.

In April 2024, Iranian forces seized the Portuguese-flagged MSC Aries, which was later released in November 2024.

In April 2023, the Iranian Navy seized the Marshall Islands-flagged Advantage Sweet in the Gulf of Oman, alleging it had collided with an Iranian vessel.

In January 2024, Iran detained the Marshall Islands-flagged St. Nikolas (formerly Suez Rajan) in retaliation for the US confiscation of its oil cargo.

In May 2022, Iran detained two Greek tankers, holding them until November of that year.

Most of these incidents the Iranians claim the tankers are either transporting contraband or Israeli oil under a false flag, and it is in retaliation for Israeli aggression.

It will keep its Its stockpile of enriched uranium, its centrifuges for enriching more uranium, and parts for more centrifuges, and any equipment it may have for turning enriched uranium into metal, shaping it into nuclear weapons components and taking other weapons-assembly steps.​
