Donald Trump's Great Comeback
A president should consider his situation when he is elected without winning a majority. If a president only receive 49% of the vote that means more people voted for one of his opponents than voted for him.
This also means that the “mandate” they often claim is either non existent or very weak. He should consider that.
The 2024 election was very close. Both in the presidential race and the congressional races.
