The song Dogs by Pink Floyd's "Animals" album keeps running through my head lately as I think about Trump's implosion.

The man lived by the sword, and now he is dying by it. He only got the GOP nomination because of the "all Trump, all the time" media spotlight which completely ignored his Republican primary opponents, and now that same effect is working against him.

He was loving it when it was working to his advantage. He actively worked to keep the spotlight on himself and off his opponents. Whenever the media's interest began flagging, he would tweet or say something outrageous to get the attention back on him.

He didn't mind the media was rigged when it was hurting his opponents, and now he is crying foul because that same focus he used to crave is now hurting him.


Trump at the beginning:
