Nothing beyond the fact that trump and the republicans never wanted to pass an infrastructure bill.
They very quickly passed a huge tax cut for the filthy rich and a huge increase in the military but didn't do anything about infrastructure.
It's what republicans have been doing since the reagan years.
Waste money on tax cuts for the filthy rich and waste money on needless military while the nation falls apart.
As usual fact are not your friend.
"Infrastructure as many people think of it—construction or improvement of bridges, highways, roads, ports, waterways, and airports—accounts for only $157 billion, or 7%, of the plan’s estimated cost. That’s apparently what Vought was referring to. The definition of infrastructure can reasonably be expanded to include upgrading wastewater and drinking water systems, expanding high-speed broadband Internet service to 100% of the nation, modernizing the electric grid, and improving infrastructure resilience. That brings the total to $518 billion, or 24% of the plan’s total cost."
How much infrastructure is in Biden's infrastructure plan?
Less than ONE THIRD of the total this nearly two trillion dollar pork fest (the exact cost is not yet known
and differs from estimate to estimate) can be said to be actual "infrastructure" related.
And as I've pointed out so often this expensive project is almost a carbon copy of Obama's
2009 "shovel ready" jobs bill which was a resounding failure when you consider what was
delivered vs. what was promised.
Which makes sense because Joe Biden's presidency is in many ways Obama's third term in office,
since his people are the ones telling Biden what to do and when to do it.
This multi
trillion dollar boondoggle will be three quarters worth of leftist goodies, undeliverable in
any other form, and only one quarter actual infrastructure (including ripping out "racist" overpasses
and highways eating up funds better put to use on more productive projects).
The rest is pure pork for democrat wishes and pork projects. Don't forget to total this up when
you complain lamely about republicans feeding the fat cats.
Show me the number of times democrats actually stopped the rich from getting their special tax loopholes and provisions and you win some sort of undeserved prize for honesty and candor.
When Obama had control of ALL the branches of government, for example, what did democrats
do about turning away their very rich donors and patrons when they wanted special treatment?
If you are even slightly honest you will have to admit they did nothing!
