I work for the Army and my daughter and son were in the Army so my phone's autocorrect always defers to Army terms rather than whatever you might type.

Hate to tell you dude, but it is VERY hard to confuse the "&" sign with an "n". Why? Well, someone already pointed out that while they may be straight up and down from each other, the & sign is on the top row, and the "n" is on the bottom.

Additionally, while the right index digit is used to type both the & and the letter n, the letter n does NOT require you to hit the shift key at the same time you hit the letter n. In order to get the & sign, you have to hit both the 7 key and shift key at the same time.

No, any decent typist will NOT confuse the two.
