I never understood why there isn't more inspection of their finances, given that they have so many unique opportunities to abuse their positions. This will be interesting, particularly to see if there will be any serious consequences when they find evidence of corruption.

When AOC was elected 6 years ago, she was complaining she didn't have enough money for rent in DC. Two years later, she was worth 3 million. How the hell does something like that happen legally? And I'm sure they are all involved, including the judges. So, the big problem becomes, who will hold them accountable when 90% of them are involved. The answer is nobody. They'll cover for each other.

In this time in our history, we need people of true substance to keep the American dream going. To become Argentina or the Philippines is a death spiral. We only started from the top. The Western Hemisphere was virginal even with people who were indigenous here when Europeans showed up. When country orders and governments were set up, they ph uked up with socialism that set them back.

Wow, someone that admists to wanting to be ruled by the oligarchs, or as they were original called the "Robber Barons".

Kudos for your honesty.

Even if you believe those documents are true and comprehensive, they're meaningless.

Because THEY make the laws for themselves.
This is why "pork bills" should be a traitorous felony, and anyone caught making such Bills/Laws should be punished by hanging in a public place.

Oligarchy can mean anything. It depends on a person's view of politics. So let us see the results of any tax cuts that the Republicans are pushing. In honesty, people in more advanced nations are living better than Royalty did a couple of centuries ago. We live in what real privilege is in employment that is off better working for some entity that provides good salary and benefits or in a trade that does the same. In the mid 1980's it was estimated that at least 25% of the federal budget was corrupted. At the time it was 1.2 trillion dollars or so more or less over a few years. Today it is approximately 7 trillion dollars, and the corruption is the same percentage if not more. Only now we have China.

Seems more like politics than government efficiency, but whatever. This isn't the first time someone has looked into this. Always becomes a nothingburger.
