Staffers with Elon Musk’s “department of government efficiency” (Doge) reportedly entered the headquarters of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa) in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the Department of Commerce in Washington DC today, inciting concerns of downsizing at the agency.

“They apparently just sort of walked past security and said: ‘Get out of my way,’ and they’re looking for access for the IT systems, as they have in other agencies,” said Andrew Rosenberg, a former Noaa official who is now a fellow at the University of New Hampshire. “They will have access to the entire computer system, a lot of which is confidential information.”

NOAA should be the most apolitical agency out there. But. Well. Democrats.....I'd bet one of my nuts there are a ton of NOAA "climate science" programs that are really just funneling public money back to certain well-connected individuals/.orgs, and confidential records would help reveal that.

NOAA spends about $7.3 billion per year, their budget is used to support climate science, and their budget has increased in recent years due to "investments" from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Time to take a chainsaw to them.

There was a reason back in the day that some states and areas within them were sparsely populated.

Nobody wanted to live full time in coastal areas ravaged by hurricanes, much less in desert terrain with no A/C.

All that happened within the past 75 years or so with the invention of viable home A/C in the 50s.
