The national anthem means the same thing to all Americans. It should not be played in a context of one political view or another, the same as goes for our flag. Neither our national anthem nor our flag should ever be displayed in a manner that suggests that these symbols stand for any one particular ideology of any political party, religion, sex, sexual orientation, race. ethnic background, or any other ideology. All Americans were in mourning on 9/11, just as we were when the federal building in Oklahoma City was destroed.

The anthem of our citizens and our flag will not be prostituted. Be an American, please.
